my thighs feel so dead from running yesterday. I have a blister on my right foot to boot - since I was running on a treadmill I didn’t want to let myself slow down, and the sole of my shoe cut in a bit.
at boxing today I got to go on the pads with my coach - nothing quite like the feeling when he tells you that you’ve improved a lot since he saw you 3 months ago. :)
someone also loaned the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred program to me, which I might try after the half marathon in 2 weeks time. Reviews I’ve read say that Insanity is tougher, though I guess we’ll see… since the workouts are only 30 minutes long or less, I’ll probably top it up with weights at the gym as well.
am quite enjoying my time at the lab so far - you’re responsible for yourself, so no one keeps you in check, which gives me free time to take extended lunch breaks and frequent the gym during off-peak hours (as opposed to dragging myself out of bed in to the cold at ungodly hours in the morning), which I’m quite pleased about.
